Jessica Smithwick has spent 8 years in the Communications world. She is a dynamic internal communications professional with a passion for building impactful programs from the ground up at global companies. Currently, Jessica leads internal communications at Evernote, a company new to having a dedicated internal communications function. Prior to Evernote Jessica established the Internal Communications function at NerdWallet, a Fintech startup in San Francisco. She has experience educating employees and leadership on how to leverage internal communications while launching innovative & strategic programs to inform and engage employees across the org. Prior to tech, she spent 3 years in internal communications at Gap Inc. Throughout her career Jessica has led strategic internal communications efforts including change, executive, acquisition and people program initiatives while reinforcing culture & brand and connecting employees to the bigger picture. A Bay Area native, she received a B.S, in Journalism with an emphasis in strategic communications from the University of Kansas.
